Three horses the bookies missed
Our team looks for horses with key form facts which have been overlooked by bookmakers when pricing their markets. Check-out the three we have posted for Saturday's racing, each relating to key switches from the horse's previous run.
Ascot Race 4 #1 Gaulois
Jumping from barriers 15 and 14 in his last two starts, the James Cummings trained colt ran out of his skin, settling three-wide with no cover both times. Drawing an inside lane here, Gaulois now gets his chance to blow them away.
The switch from from Damian Lane to Brenton Avdulla is another noteworthy fact.
Gaulios is currently paying $2.70 fixed odds.
Rosehill Race 2 #2 Heliosphere
Will relish the step up to the 1400m and drops 1.5kg for this run. Having won his only previous second up run, the Gerald Ryan trained colt showed he is crying out for the extra distance after flashing home late over 1200m last start.
Heliosphere is currently $2.70 fixed odds.
Rosehill Race 5 #10 Mornington
A key jockey switch as Kerrin McEvoy takes the ride from Glyn Schofield.
Last start, Mornington was over-raced early from an ideal barrier, a mistake which we're unlikely to see from McEvoy.
The Waller trained gelding will also benefit from the drop in grade and step up to 2000m, after finishing off strongly over 1800m at his recent outing.
