Which horses will get track favours at Rosehill?
Rosehill Race 1 #1 Gongs
Drawn wide but possesses plenty of early toe, enabling her to jump and lead with ease. The significance of early speed over the Rosehill 1100m was highlighted two weeks ago in our Speed Map Specials when Single Lady saluted. With only a short dash until runners enter an acute turn into the home straight, acceleration from the gate is vital for a good position in the running.
Unproven 2yo horses haven't faired well recently on Sydney tracks. Gongs is one of only three runners in the nine-horse field to have had a career start, winning at Canterbury by 5.5L three weeks ago. Kerrin McEvoy takes the ride on the James Cummings trained filly which is another tick. Gongs is currently $2.10 fixed odds.
Rosehill Race 6 #9 Flow
Jumps from barrier one and looks to get an easy time of it up front. The 4yo son of Street Cry was impressive in his last start second to the in-form Redouble, and is well suited second-up at the 1400m trip.
The weight drop of 4kg and a 3:2-1-0 second-up record, stacks up nicely for the gelding.
Flow has been met with early market support, backed from $4.20 openers into $3.20 fixed odds.
