Professional punters are jumping out of the trees to back one in this race
A huge day's racing at Warwick Farm with a restructured meeting to coincide with the Inglis Classic Sale at the new venue adjacent to the racecourse. The Breeders Classic is the headline act with a number of classy individuals resuming and a significant betting move for one in particular.
Race Track Traits
Racing on a Good 4 at Warwick Farm on Saturday. The quality of the track has come under the spotlight in recent times with some pundits questioning the reasoning behind higher profile races like these running on Sydney's third tier track. Fine weather predicted for what should be an intriguing day.
The pro punters are jumping out of trees to back Bonny O’Reilly here. She has been $4.60 into $3.70 and it does not look like stopping. Great tactical speed and must be showing plenty at home to justify this vicious move in betting.
#1 Prompt Response $4.80 > $5.50
Classy Waterhouse/Bott runner who has plenty of Group form including a fourth in the Group 1 Myer Classic two starts ago. They stretched her out to 2000m last prep and not sure what the plan is this time in. If she is forward in condition, can run a huge race over the 1200m here. Class will carry her a long way.
#2 Egyptian Symbol $3.30
It was one of the biggest betting plunges you will see in the last race on Gold Coast Magic Millions day. They left the money in the bookies bag on that occasion where she was easily beaten by rising star Viddora. The mare must be showing them something special at home to have warranted that savage market move and it would pay to follow, coming into this with residual fitness off a perfect four week freshen up. Goes on top.
#4 Bonny O’Reilly $4.60 > $3.70
First-up specialist and looks very well placed here where there is not a huge amount of class. From the good gate will jump and position on or close to the speed where she could get away with some cheap sectionals. Could pinch it.
#6 Memes $8.50
Had excuses last start when the saddle slipped. Is the fit horse in this field with the two runs this prep representing a significant advantage. Generally likes to race up on the speed and from gate 9 may find that difficult against some of these drawn inside. If she can find the lead or the box seat, will be in this for a long way.
#7 Faraway Town $6.50 > $8.50
Good win at Randwick last start where she had support in the market. Is a little easy here in early markets for this which is a concern. Christian Reith and gate 5 a big plus but will need to make the huge step up in grade to be winning this.
Of The Others….
1st Egyptian Symbol – SP profile last start (attracted strong market interest) gives confidence.
2nd Bonny O’Reilly
3rd Prompt Response
