Warwick Farm Early Mail - Two sprinters are looking the goods
This week's Wednesday NSW meet takes place at Warwick Farm where the rail is out 3m and currently rated a Good 4. The track has seen plenty of racing in recent weeks, this being the third meeting in 19 days and on a quick back-up from last Saturday. The track should show some signs of wear and tear and it’s likely that runners off-the-pace will get their chance this time around.
Race 2 #2 Touch of Mink
Is a quality filly who placed in a Group 2 at Mooney Valley in the Spring. The 1200m is short of her best distance, however with a small field engaged it’s likely that she won't be far off the leaders in the running, allowing her to run over the top of them in the straight with her strong turn of foot.
The Matthew Smith trained three-year-old has had two quiet lead-up trials and with bigger targets ahead this Autumn, she will need to be competitive in this race to prove her worth. Expect a bold showing. Touch of Mink is currently $4.20 fixed odds.
Race 6 #2 Once More a Lady
Impressed with her last start victory in a BM80 and now drops back to a BM70 with much inferior opposition at the same track and over the same distance. She goes up in weights considerably, however this should pose little problems for her over the 1100m.
This mare only needs to reproduce her last start performance to make it back-to-back wins. Once More a Lady is currently $2.15 fixed odds.
