Round 2 of the EPL features the often fierce London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea.
This is the highlight fixture in what looks like a competitive and entertaining weekend of football.
Two other games in particular are sure to appeal to the casual observer and punter alike.
First, Tottenham take on the Cottagers in another London rivalry game, where Spurs will be out to show that you don't need signings to be successful.
The round wraps up with Crystal Palace's attempts to repel the visiting Reds, who are full of confidence after disposing of West Ham with ease last week.
Tottenham Hotspur v Fulham
The first of two London derbies over the weekend sees Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs taking on newly promoted Fulham at Wembley Stadium.
This fixture is interesting as it pits a club that didn't make a single signing in the transfer window against a side that was splashing cash like it's going out of fashion.
With zero signings as well as the news during the week that the opening of their new stadium has been delayed, another season of no trophies for Spurs would come as a great frustration to their fans.
But with a squad that ranks amongst the best in the league, they should get the better of Fulham.
These are the sorts of fixtures that Tottenham must win if they want to stay in touch with EPL heavyweights Man City and Liverpool.
The first step will be for star striker Harry Kane to find the back of the net, a feat he has never achieved during August with the North London club.
Meanwhile, on the bank of the Thames, Fulham went crazy in the transfer window, signing the likes of Andre Schurrle, Jean Michael Seri, and Joe Bryan amongst others.
But after an opening round loss at home to Crystal Palace, it appears these new signings will need some time before they gel.
Key EPL Stat
Spurs have won 9 of the previous 11 meetings between these sides, 6 of which were by a margin of 2+ goals.
EPL Betting Tip: Tottenham to win by a margin of 2+ goals @ $1.70
Reasoning: Tottenham have too much firepower in the attacking third not to win by this margin. Fulham meanwhile need a few more weeks to click and adjust to the EPL standard.
The game of the round pits blue against red with Chelsea playing host to Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea had a great start to the season under new manager Sarri, winning 3-0 against an outclassed Huddersfield Town.
New signing Jorginho impressed in his Blues debut, while N'Golo Kante flourished in a more attacking midfield role, finding his name on the scoresheet.
Meanwhile, over at the Emirates, it looked like the same old Arsenal with a new face.
Of course, there is no disgrace in losing to Manchester City, with a change in fortunes under Emery likely to take time rather than be expected straight off the bat.
Solving the problem in midfield will be on the top of his to-do list, with Granit Xhaka failing to blossom into the player he was expected to whilst at Borussia Monchengladbach.
And up against Jorginho and Kante in the middle of the park, Xhaka will need to show something more if Arsenal stand a chance of picking up any points.
While Arsenal's problems shouldn't be exaggerated as they still have a world class squad, Chelsea look to be too strong at home.
Key EPL Stat
Chelsea have failed to defeat Arsenal in their last 6 encounters.
EPL Betting Tip: Chelsea to win head-to-head @ $1.80
Reasoning: Even though the Blues have struggled to get the win over their cross-town rivals of late, their dominant performance away from home last week suggests they will be too good for a rebuilding Arsenal side.
Crystal Palace v Liverpool
The final game of round two is a match-up between two teams that had superb starts to their 2018/19 EPL campaign.
Liverpool piled four on a sorry West Ham, with Sadio Mane scoring two and new recruit Naby Keita having a whale of a debut game for the Reds.
It was the type of performance that has Liverpool fans around the world brimming with confidence for the upcoming season.
They will travel down to London with the intention of backing up last week's effort at Anfield, hoping to prove that the 4-0 result was no flash in the pan.
However, Palace also started well, winning 2-0 away from home against Fulham.
Wilfried Zaha was on fire, and made Eagles fans breathe a sigh of relief after he signed a contract extension during the week to keep him in South London until 2023.
Fellow forward and ex-Liverpool man Christian Benteke also showed glimpses of promise. He will look to have a good season and banish the memories of a woeful last campaign, where he only managed a measly three goals.
Alongside this attack, their defense under Roy Hodgson is organised, as well as having plenty of pace to deal with Liverpool's speed men.
Don't be surprised if Palace pull off an upset at Selhurst Park.
Key EPL Stat
The last side to defeat Crystal Palace in the EPL was Liverpool, when they triumphed 2-1 at Selhurst Park in March.
Reasoning: The Eagles are undefeated in 7 consecutive EPL matches, and generally perform better at home. If Liverpool come into this game complacent after the easy win at home against the Hammers, they are in for a rude shock.
