About Cartoon Tip SMH

The Cartoon Tip is published every Friday in the Sydney Morning Herald racing form guide The Form. The mysterious tipster illustrates his, or her, selection for Saturday's Sydney metropolitan race meeting as a cartoon. The only hint the punter is given is which race his, or her, selection is in. It's then left with the reader to check each horses name and try and settle on the horse which they believe the picture best resembles.

The Cartoon Tipster only reveals the selection in the following week's edition of The Form, leaving the punter following the unknown tipster, wondering if they have bet on the right horse.

At 31 January, 2014 the Cartoon Tipster had an average win price of $4.86, a win strike rate of 17% and a place strike rate of 42%.
