About Peter Davis

Peter Davis was a keen follower of greyhound racing from an early age. Influenced by his grandparents who race greyhounds, he spent a lot of his time in his teen years watching them race at Wentworth Park and the old Harold Park track.

He first stepped into media in 1986 when he joined the team at greyhound racecourse form guide deFax as editor of form. After ten years in that role he moved to the Illawarra Mercury, and then was promoted to Fairfax Media's Regional Racing Editor.

Peter Davis provides his selections for Sydney metropolitan horse races from time to time in the Sydney Morning Herald. In July 2014 we was awarded the runner-up Tipster of the Month award after his best bet selections returned 179% profit on turnover.
