Punters clean up at the track
Following a tough week, punters gratefully got themselves back in the winner's circle after a good day's racing on Saturday.
And with the added help of the betting promotions, most would've left the races with their pockets bulging.
While some of the sports promos also steered punters into some handy profits, others weren't so great.
Read on for our full assessment below.
Bookie Promos: How punters fared last weekend
||Racing & Footy
Neds Betting Promotions
Neds' bonus bet return for your fixed odds win bet running a place was this time available in races 1-4 at Randwick, Flemington and Doomben.
And the great news for punters is that across these 12 races, 9 of the favourites either won or ran a place.
Well backed runners like Sir Elton in Randwick Race 3 won comfortably, with very few shock results on the cards.
Especially if punters steered clear of the odds-on fav Snazz'n'Charm in Doomben Race 2, who couldn't even manage a place.

Ladbrokes Betting Promotions
Ladbrokes decided to focus on sports with their betting promotions, and this proved to be a good move for the bookie but a bad one for punters.
One of their top promos was an AFL mega multi, where the $3.75 enhanced odds were offered for the Dons, Tigers and Crows to get the win.
It was the Crows who let punters down, after they were humiliated in the Showdown.
Ladbrokes also had their double up specials going, where you were credited with double winnings if your AFL side won by 24+ or your NRL side triumphed by 12+.
Apart from a few unexpected blowouts, all the games went down to the wire in what wasn't a good result for punters.

Pointsbet Betting Promotions
Pointsbet's racing promo saw a bonus bet return available in races 1-6 at Flemington.
This certainly made Melbourne punters happy, especially as two short-priced favs saluted in races 3 and 4.
But on a day when the favs were getting up everywhere, Pointsbet punters may be feeling a little disappointed that this promo only covered six races.

BetEasy Betting Promotions
BetEasy was the one exception of the week.
They focused on sports, and yet punters were more than satisfied.
The first cracking special was double winnings dished up for the Bombers vs Swans clash.
All the Dons fans as well as punters who stuck with the favourite were cheering, after Essendon won in a tight encounter.
BetEasy also gave tennis fans a chance to make a good profit, with their multi promo for Wimbledon.
This was in the same style of their ongoing NRL and AFL specials, that see a bonus bet returned if one of your 4+ legs gets done.

Sportsbet Betting Promotions
Sportsbet's standard bonus bet return for a fixed odds win bet running 2nd or 3rd was up for grabs in races 1-5 at Flemington and Randwick.
As mentioned above, the favs were flying home.
And with the safety net of a bonus bet return in play, punters would've been inclined to load up on a few of these favourites.
TAB Betting Promotions
TAB's bonus bet return also applied to races 1-5 in Sydney and Melbourne.
This meant that punters didn't need to look at the TAB's sports promos to try and rake back some cash.
They were all sorted after a great day at the track.
