About

Cbus Super Stadium is the main rectangular stadium on the Gold Coast and has played host to the Titans since their second season in 2008. The stadium is located in Robina, 10km outside of the centre of the Gold Coast, and is essentially a smaller version of Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium, which is just an hours’ drive up the M1. However, Cbus Super Stadium is yet to generate the “Queenslander” atmosphere so synonymous with their big brother Suncorp up the road.

As well as Titans’ home and away games and two finals games, the Robina Stadium has also played host to International Rugby League matches and Rugby League All-star’s fixtures. 2008 saw two matches from the World Cup played at Robina, while in 2010, the ground would play host to the inaugural NRL vs Indigenous All-stars match.

In true Queensland spirit, an Eastern brown snake found its way onto the playing surface during round 4 of the 2014 season, when the Titans were up against the Cowboys in an all-Queensland derby. Thankfully, the snake didn’t bite Johnathan Thurston, or any other player for that matter.

The largest crowd seen at Cbus Super Stadium was in 2009 when local rivals the Brisbane Broncos faced the Titans in a semi-final match in front of 27,227 fans, the first finals NRL game played at the stadium. However, with crowd numbers dipping in recent years, the Titans will need to start showing more on the park if they want to attract more than the odd Brown snake to Cbus Super Stadium.
