Sports punters salute
Overall, punters had a pretty good time of it last weekend.
While the biggest profits were found on the footy field, this didn't mean that every sports betting promotion steered punters in the right direction.
Find out which promos were hits and which were duds below.
Bookie Promos: How punters fared last weekend
||Racing & Footy
Neds Betting Promotions
Neds' racing special was a bonus bet return if your fixed odds win bet ran a place in races 1-4 at Caulfield and Kensington on Saturday.
In these races, most of the favourites ran well, meaning that punters either saw a good win or their stake returned.
However, Neds punters were let down by an AFL promo.
Neds were offering the tempting odds of $2.50 for the Lions to lead at quarter time.
While they won the match in a thriller, it was the Cats who were up at the first break.

Ladbrokes Betting Promotions
Ladbrokes' main betting promotion was once again their fixed odds + 30% prices, this time for races 1-4 at Caulfield and Kensington.
This turned out to be a great offer, with a handful of the favourites winning, and at a good price too.
These winnings were multiplied on the footy field, where punters cleaned up.
This was thanks to Ladbrokes' double up offers, where double winnings are dished out if your AFL or NRL side wins by 24+ or 12+ points respectively.
With six AFL and five NRL teams smashing their opponents by the specified margin, a stack of double winnings would've been reluctantly handed out by Ladbrokes.

Pointsbet Betting Promotions
In a week where the sports promos were going well, Pointsbet punters unusually had a stinker.
This was due to this bookie's player pick AFL promos.
They were offering $3 odds for Gary Ablett to record 20+ touches and 1+ goal against the Lions.
The same odds were dished up for Josh Kelly to amass 25+ disposals and for the Giants to win.
Both of these betting promos fell short in what was bad news for punters.

BetEasy Betting Promotions
BetEasy tabled three enticing double winnings offers in the world of sport.
While they all applied to the result market, they were spread between the AFL, EPL and Ashes.
So for those who tipped the Swans, Everton and a draw, double winnings were heading your way.

Sportsbet Betting Promotions
Sportsbet's standard bonus bet return for a fixed odds win bet running 2nd or 3rd was up for grabs in races 1-3 at Kensington and Caulfield.
This offer was fairly ordinary, but it did see some good results.
But it was their EPL promo that would've got punters excited.
It was an early payout if your team lead at half time.
While not many clubs lead after forty-five minutes before going on to draw or lose, Chelsea and Man U were the two exceptions.
TAB Betting Promotions
TAB stuck with their usual footy promos.
This is where a bonus bet is handed out if your NRL side is up by 8+ at any stage and loses, or if your AFL team leads by 6+ at any break and gets done.
With four results fitting these requirements across both codes, this offer didn't exactly set the world alight.
But it was still better than nothing, and why we assessed the TAB as "OK".
