Saturday's NRL action kicks off across the ditch, where the Warriors will be looking to preserve a formidable record at Mt Smart Stadium.

Then both St George and Manly are out to keep their winning form rolling, when both line-up to make it four on-the-trot.

New Zealand Warriors vs North Queensland Cowboys

NRL Odds: Warriors $1.40 (-7.5) / Cowboys $2.90 (+7.5)

Two teams that need to start winning face-off here, as the Warriors host the Cowboys.

North Queensland were gallant against the Storm last week, putting in a tough shift only to get beat by 6 points.

New Zealand were another team who went down in a close one. Back at their Mt Smart fortress, they'll be confident of turning things around here.

Why Warriors can win

The Warriors were gallant last week, pushing the Rabbitohs right to the death in a game where experienced half Blake Green was ruled out moments before kick-off.

Green returns here, and his game management will go a long way towards helping his side secure the two competition points.

That's because the Warriors have all the firepower they could ask for.

Fullback Roger Tuivasa-Sheck leads the competition in both line breaks (6) and tackle breaks (35).

He ran for a huge 218 metres against Souths, and scored a cracking try off a trademark sidestep.

A repeat of that would get the home side over the line.

Why Cowboys can win

Still without Jason Taumololo, the Cowboys may struggle to motivate themselves away from home, and especially after a tough defeat.

That responsibility falls to Michael Morgan, who has been hot and cold in 2019 so far.

However, if his hardened forward pack can lay the platform, then Morgan is the class player on the park, and can inspire a win for the Cows.

With Scott Bolton making a return to the bench after a lengthy suspension, there is no shortage of experience in the Cowboys' outfit.

St George Illawarra Dragons vs Manly Sea Eagles

NRL Odds: Dragons $1.45 (-7.5) / Sea Eagles $2.75 (+7.5)

Both sides come into this clash with identical records, having lost their opening two before winning their subsequent three.

Des Hasler really looks to have got his Manly players clicking, while Paul McGregor's efforts have seen him rewarded with a contract extension.

You could easily tip both sides on form, so this will be a tricky game for NRL punters to wrap their heads around.

Why Dragons can win

Against the Dogs in Round 5, the Dragons proved that they can win big as well as by a point.

Corey Norman's left boot wasn't needed, as the Dragon's outside backs ran riot, inspiring a 36-point drubbing.

Wanting to get in on the act again, Norman also popped up to assist Ben Hunt in what will be a try of the season contender.

 

These halves working together was the last piece of the puzzle for McGregor, who has a great forward pack at his disposal, even without De Bellin.

And last week's win suggests that Norman and Hunt can become one of the league's best halves pair. Look for another improvement here.

 

Why Sea Eagles can win

Manly meanwhile needed to prove that they could get the job done without star fullback Tom Trbojevic.

They did that, and did it in style against the Knights up in Newcastle.

Tom's brother Jake had another standout performance, making 45 tackles and running for 139 metres.

Playing his 100th NRL game here, Trbojevic will be up for another gut-busting display.

His battle against Tyson Frizell in the middle of the park will be something to behold, and might very well decide the outcome.

That's because DCE is also in fine form for the Sea Eagles, and has the ability to counter both Norman and Hunt.
